U15 Wanborough 1-5 CCCFC Print
Season 15/16 - Under 15

Our first game for a month and at times it showed in some of our play that we were a bit ring rusty. We soon settled down and opened the scoring on 13mins with a typical Eddie goal, a great pass from Luca allowed Eddie to beat the keeper in a 1 on 1 situation. Our 2nd goal on 25mins was a terrific finish from Eddie, as the ball came over his shoulder he controlled and volleyed the ball past the helpless keeper in one movement. Chances came and went as we over complicated things during the remainder of the first half.

Wanborough to their credit came out of the blocks pretty quick at the start of the 2nd half and we gave them an early opportunity on 45mins to score when we left ourselves 1v1 at the back, their striker took the goal well with a fine finish past Jasper. Within 60 secs we restored our 2 goal cushion when Tom R scored his first goal of the season from the tightest angle after a good run. Luca scored the 4th with a terrific curling shot on 47mins. Joe P wrapped up the game on 75mins when he chipped the keeper from 25yds. Not the best performance, but a win is what we wanted.

Man of the match: Not many stand out, but on his debut I give it to Joe W, he showed great energy and awareness to keep the ball moving from midfield.

Next game: Ramsbury at home on Sunday 6th March 10am kick off
