The under-12s triumphed at the home of Swindon Town for the second year in succession as two Colts teams contested the final of the annual Football in the Community Tournament.
Five of the team members who lifted the silverware as under-11s last year, Bradley, Luke S, Matthew, Max and Liam B, were joined by Josh in the victorious team this time around. On a busy afternoon of action, they won all seven of their group matches against opposition from Highworth Town, Ferndale Rodbourne, Ramsbury, Swindon Town Girls and Marlborough.
The team comprising George, Luke VDB, Tom, Callum, Liam F, Sam and Brandon H scored four successes in the round-robin stage to make it an all-Colts final, which was settled by early goals from Max and Matthew.
All 13 players on duty got their names on the scoresheet on the County Ground turf and were a huge credit to their club, earning praise from Swindon Town staff for their performances off the pitch and their conduct away from it.
