The U13 Whites took the top prize at an understated tournament in the lovely environs of Lambourn this Sunday. It took 3 matches to wake up as we had to get to this place with a Reading postcode before 9am! By that time we had lost two and won 1 game and it felt like we were just playing for pride.

I think the chaps then realised they were on the verge of spoiling fathers day for a few of us and pulled out all the stops. They beat Highworth and Lydiard which actually made us finish top of the 6 team table and qualify for a one off final against Hungerford who we will meet next year in Div 1 and who had beaten us in our third game.

To be honest our guys didnt give them a sniff as they dominated the game from minute 1-10. Cameron - despite looking like Rocky Balboa at the end of the original film, as he was given a rough time by the hungerford defenders - scored a fantastic team goal and was a constant thorn in their side with his pace and tenacity. Archie controilled the game from the back wheras Joe, alex and Jacob provided a vice like grip on midfield. Joe G and Max ensured the clean sheet that wa  to see us through.

Fantastic effort guys and well deserved-  its been coming for a while.
