CCCFC U11 v Stratton Juniors Print
Season 16/17 - Under 11

First and foremost - great performance, I liked the battling and commitment during the match.
Apart from a few situations, I feel our defensive line is improving. The back three were more aware while taking responsibility that we stayed as a tight unit.
I was happy to hear Cole instructing the backline, I can see an improvement with that.
Our midfield four supported Joel up top very well, energy levels when breaking forward was good to see. Our midfield were always in the game because Joel hold up play was effective.

Stratton where a good footballing side, however we all made it difficult for them today. You all should take great pride and credit from this win as our one touch play caused Stratton problems along with one two's which led to one of our goals.  I would say we need to get into the habit doing this more often because it's a great way to relief pressure as well as creating goal scoring opportunities.

Our pressure play was fine in stages, however I do feel we could do more. If you give your opponent less time on the ball they will be more likely to make mistakes presenting us with situations to create chances and scoring.
Just get into the habit of thinking, as soon as my opponent receives the ball I should be there when they take the first touch.

Finally, thank you again for coming and playing well. See you all at training.
